Removing teeth on the upper jaw and installing four Nobel implants in the concept ‘ALL-ON-4’.

The patient applied to the dental clinic with complaints about the mobility of the teeth in the upper jaw and poor appearance. After a comprehensive examination and computer tomography performed, it was decided on the need to remove all the remaining teeth on the upper jaw. The patient did not want to stay any single day without teeth, so the concept of ‘ALL-ON-4’ was chosen.

During the first visit, the tooth extractions and installation of Nobel Biocare (Sweden) implants according to the ‘ALL-ON-4’ concept performed, and then impressions were taken for the prosthesis and the installation of the first temporary express prosthesis. After two days, a fitting was made, and a permanent prosthesis was fixed, which the patient cannot remove on his own.

The next step of patient treatment will be the installation of implants on the lower jaw and the manufacture of permanent crowns on the lower teeth.

The ‘ALL-ON-4’ concept has a number of advantages over standard implantation: no need to build up the bone; perform sinus lifting; it is not necessary to wait about six months before installing permanent crowns; the ability to immediately install a temporary prosthesis and do not stay even a day without teeth. This technique has proven itself well among age-related patients who are not advisable to conduct multiple and long-term surgical operations.
