Joy Dental

I've been going here for a few years, stopped for a while when I moved to Brooklyn, then returned when I moved back to Astoria. The dentist is always super nice and has very good bedside manner, transparent about what is being done and what options are necessary vs. optional. I've only had good experiences here.

I have been going to Joy Dental for a year, Dr. Park has done several fillings and a root canal for me, and I am very happy with how thorough and careful she is. Dr. Park is also very clear in her explanations of work that needs to be done and patient with questions. If you live in the Astoria area, highly recommended!

I'm updating my review since it's been a few years since the last one. I still go here for my bi-annual cleanings and routine vists. Every time I come here I know Dr. Park has my best interests as a patient in mind. She shows that she really cares and talks to me in a way that I understand and engages me in my care. The office calls you to remind you of your appointments and when you arrive for your appointment there is almost never a wait (10 minutes at most, which is almost unheard of!) Thank you Dr. Park and your team for being all-around awesome.

I'd also like to say that my mother, two brothers, my aunt, my boyfriend, co-workers, and multiple friends have been coming to Dr. Park and I have yet to hear a single negative comment, on the contrary they're all so glad I recommended her. I highly recommend Joy Dental! Please expect another 5-star updated review in another few years!

I spent $1500.00 on a post and crown just to have

another dentist have to redo (and pay for) the

whole procedure again one year later.  My new

dentist told me the post that was installed

incorrectly and it became loose.

A second problem involved a root canal with a

second post and crown.  That crown was left too

long and it damaged the implant below it. I came

in complaining about the pain I was feeling

(3 times) and she had no answer for me  

except antibiotics.

I wasted lots of my time and money dealing with

Dr. Park.  

I would not recommend her to my worst enemy.

I don't leave many positive reviews on Yelp because so many businesses do so much wrong, but this place does everything right. Everyone I've encountered here has been friendly and competent, from the front desk to the x-ray tech to the hygienist to Dr. Park herself.

My first time here was because I'd chipped a tooth. They were able to see me the next day - I thought just to take a look and come up with a plan of action - but Dr. Park was able to give me a filling in 20 minutes on the spot and did a perfect job. I came back for a full checkup and cleaning, and every step of the process was more thorough than at any dentist I've been to.

Everything seems to run on time here. I've never had to wait, and I'm never rushed either. The place is clean and comfortable. And the prices are remarkably reasonable.

Good dentists are hard to find. I've been to some not-so-great ones in the area. I'm glad I finally found Dr. Park.
