At her Upper East Side, Manhattan, NY dental practice, Dr. Heejoo Pyon offers the latest in dental healthcare treatments. Serving patients from throughout Midtown Manhattan, New York, Dr. Pyon provides anti-aging treatments, care for TMJ pain, Invisalign, teeth whitening, porcelain crowns and veneers, dental implants, care for chipped and/or broken teeth, emergency dental care, and retainer installation. After having completed her Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Dr. Pyon graduated from the New York University's College of Dentistry. In her final year there, Dr. Pyon spent her elective hours treating a special population of refugees who sought political asylum in New York City. These patients were cared for with compassionate professionalism which helped them with their fears of the dentist. After completing her residency with an emphasis on urgent and emergency dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center, Dr. Pyon worked to treat the needy in Brooklyn, before joining a private practice in Manhattan. She is a current member of the American Dental Association, the New York County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She regularly attends study clubs as well as continuing education courses to ensure that her dental knowledge is current and up-to- date. Dr. Pyon works hard to provide necessary dental care to each and every person who needs it. She is praised by her patients for her warm, welcoming office and comprehensive care.

Best teeth cleaning I've ever had! Very quick, painless (because of numbing gel applied first!) and thorough. I first came to Dr. Pyon's office for a root canal several months ago and that was also a very good experience with absolutely no issues to follow. I have been living in NYC for eight years and just now stopped going all the way back home for my cleanings because I have discovered Dr. Pyon. She and her team are wonderful!

This was my first time seeing Dr. Pyon. It was a great experience. The office is a little small and backroom-y, but this may be due to the fact that it's New York City and rent is high. The setting is completely not an issue given that Dr. Pyon herself was competent and efficient, yet at the same time soothing and communicative. The whole checkup process seemed clean and hygienic. Also, Dr. Pyon made sure to tell me the cost of every sub-part of the check before asking for permission to proceed.

Most gentle dentist ever!
I finally found my forever dentist. lol Dr. Pyon is absolutely wonderful in her bedside manner and also expertise. I actually look forward to my checkups now rather than dread it. She is super conscious of how the patient feels during her procedure. On top of that her staff is very efficient and great with follow ups and explaining the billing.
If you're delaying your dental visit because of fear, book an appointment with Dr. Pyon. You won't regret it!

Definitely recommend Dr. Pyon!! She is absolutely amazing.
I was suffering from extreme pain due to my wisdom tooth coming in and after reading her reviews, I inquired about an appointment online. The receptionist called me as soon as they opened! They fit me in the same day and were extremely welcoming. I get severe anxiety when going to the dentist so I truly appreciated how patient and caring Dr. Pyon and her staff were. They all kept reassuring me and making sure I was comfortable before beginning the procedure. Dr. Pyon works fast. My wisdom tooth was removed and the procedure was over before I knew it. Many dentists are rough when working but Dr. Pyon is very gentle. So gentle that I was able to go to back work right after having my wisdom tooth extracted. I'm so so glad I found her and I'll continue to go to her for my dental needs.

Dr. Pyon is absolutely wonderful! She's taken care of my teeth before i was pregnant, during my pregnancy and after my pregnancy! See very attentive and never makes you wait long. She spaced out her appointments so you get maximum privacy. Explains to you what you need done, what's going on with your teeth and what would be the most cost effective and best approach.
Her cleanings are never rough and definitely not short. She constantly asks whether you are comfortable and care about how you feel. She is not one of those dentist that just have the tech do the x-ray, looks at them and they just gets to doing and then cleaning.
Never had an issue with scheduling, she opens late two nights a week and responds to emails tooo!
